KML: Bike Ride Hamburg - Mölln - Ratzeburg 2013 --- Part 1 - Hamburg - Lütjensee

This is the route of the first video part of my bike ride in 2013 from Hamburg to Mölln and Ratzeburg. I created this KML manually right after my return from memory (which works excellent ;) ) in Google Earth, because at the time I had no GPS device. Due to the fact that I went no special side routes and rode this route several times during the recent years, errors are almost completely impossible.

After I left Hamburg successfully, the route goes through the nature reserve Höltigbaum, and after Braak on a well-constructed bike path, running parallel to the country road. For about the last half of the route it goes on on a really great long distance cycle track through meadows and forests. The times of the markers in the KML relate to time positions in the video linked below.

Bike ride to the Lueneburg Heath - Rolling home!

Yepp, it's done: The final part of this short, but long on the other hand, series is finally on Youtube! This time we ride from Asendorf, in the far north of the Lüneburg Heath, across the imposing Elbbrücken back to my home in the north-east of Hamburg. All in one day. A good amount of beer flows and my language skills, presumably for exhaustion reasons, reach an all time low. The soundtrack is completely from the alionsonny album "Electronic Spacerock".

And just for fun here is also again the height profile, which is indeed in no way comparable with Madeira, but anyways no one should say northern Germany is generally flat ;)

Ok, that's it! And yes: Soon I'll be on a new bike ride. Where will it go to? I will not reveal this here and now, but it will be definitely interesting. Have fun with the video!

AlionLive Return 2 Madeira IS COMPLETE!

This is the end of an "era"! It is done! Nearly 12 hours of video is now available in THIS PLAYLIST. Now this "never ending story" finally comes to an end, just in time before a new Madeira adventure starts. Yes, those of you who hoped, that it now would be enough with my "Madeira craziness" will soon witness another travel report from the island I love SO much. This time I am traveling with Malina again and so I will most probably not film as much as during the last trip. But let's wait and see ;).  As the upcoming trip will not take place in late fall (as the recent ones) but in spring, we will most probably see the island of flowers in a much different way. You will see some familiar places, because I want to show Malina all the fantastic places I discovered in 2012. Still there will also be quite a lot of new places, because we plan to visit some exciting locations, we both are eager to explore. But I will not tell you anything about it yet, to keep some surprises for you ;). I just say: This will ROCK!

The video
In this video you see some views of the Airport in Machico, a few impressions of the flight and my arrival on the Hamburg Airport. After the arrival, you will see me in the worst state ever, because I was totally tired and just wanting to get home to my beloved bathtub. After that, there is a quite long aftermath of the trip. I will describe to you why this video series took so long to be completed and tell you a bit of what I learned during my stay in Madeira, the video production process and a lot more.
